How many IITs are there in India? The Indian Institutes of Technology are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament. These institutes play a leading role in technological manpower development and have research programmes comparable to the best in the world. The Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 lists twenty-three institutes located at Bhilai, Madras, Delhi, Dhanbad, Dharwad, Goa, Guwahati, Jammu, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Bombay, Roorkee, Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Mandi, Palghat, Patna, Ropar, Tirupati and Varanasi. Each IIT is an autonomous institution, linked to the others through a common IIT Council, which oversees their administration. The Union HRD Minister is the ex-officio Chairperson of IIT Council. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programmes at these institutions for all Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). Candidates for Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Kolkata and T.S.Chanakya and Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad also give admissions on the basis of performance in JEE Advanced.

What is so special about RADIANCE?Preparing for JEE (Main and Advanced) requires a very focused and specific input and that too in a strategic planned manner. Mere teaching in a conventional style and completing the syllabus is not enough. The pursuit of JEE/ NEET is a full-time pre occupation with the serious contenders. All the faculty members of RADIANCE are available for full-time at the institute. Hence, their commitment is distinctly higher than visiting/part time faculties as many other coachings have. Having very specific and focused team of trainers for JEE & NEET is one of the milestones in the field of JEE/NEET training & the credit goes to RADIANCE.
-
What is the difference between RADIANCE and other coaching institutes?RADIANCE has “single” set of highly experienced faculties who takes care of teaching as well as personal doubt clearance of students, due to this student gets synchronized with the faculty and shares his/ her difficulties with ease, whereas others may have several inconsistent/ inexperienced, unstable faculties who are mere on contractual/ salary basis over these just for syllabus completion without any commitment and zeal for result orientation. At RADIANCE students not only achieve academic excellence but also learn various techniques for concentration, avoiding silly mistakes, developing examination temperament, motivation, time management skills, and techniques to improve quantity and quality of hours spent on studies and how to make their school hours more productive and useful. That is why we call RADIANCE a training institute not a coaching centre. RADIANCE is the only training institute in Jabalpur which is exclusively devoted for preparing students for engineering entrance exams. (No coaching for medical entrance is available)
-
How many selected students are from regular Classroom Program? As we do not believe in claiming fake results, all the above mentioned results are from regular long term classroom programs from Jabalpur only. Beware of fake results that various coaching are claiming these days. What is a “Fake Result”? Suppose any student came to us to ask few doubts or had given few of our tests and afterwards if he/she got selected in IITJEE and/ or AIEEE then if we claim him/her as a selection from our institute, this claiming is called fake result claiming because the credit of his/her selection goes to that institute/teacher(s) who had actually taught him/her for 1 or 2 years in class XI and/ or class XII. Even various coaching institutes add the selections from Test Series (Actually attending classroom program in some other coaching or doing self study) and Classroom Program (Their true selections) to increase their number of selections and misguide the aspirants by falsely inflating their results. Few coachings at Jabalpur are claming even those students who joined them for JEE in class 11th and then due to their poor teaching standards he/ she left their coaching and joined some other better institution for JEE and got selected in JEE. We only claim those students who have studied at RADIANCE for a minimum of one year duration for IITJEE and AIEEE.
-
How can one get admission in any of the RADIANCE Programs?Admission to all Classroom Programs will be on the basis of either RACER or Scholarship-cum-Admission tests conducted by RADIANCE and there will be direct admission to Non Classroom Programs.
-
Why should one pay a larger amount of fee for JEE coaching at RADIANCE, when he/she can get it in much lesser amount at other coaching centers or individual tuitions in city?"Selection in JEE depends on the quality of hours taught, not on its quantity. For that RADIANCE has JEE Experts who are heavily experienced in their relavent field. Also, RADIANCE spends a large chunk in research and development of study materials and teaching methodology, which no other coaching does. Individual tuitors are concerned only about their own subject and they lack synchronization with other subjects(s). Since they don't usually have a team working behind them hence they lack in giving proper study material, formula sheets, Practice Problem Sheets, etc. (They rely on some standard books only). In short 'Quality never comes cheap'.
-
How the classes are scheduled at RADIANCE?Whenever a student will come to RADIANCE for classes, he/she will be required to attend two classes, each of 2 hours duration, with a break of 15 minutes between them. For school going students the classes are scheduled in evening hours (from 3:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.) for droppers the classes are scheduled in morning hours (from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.)
-
How many days a student is required to come at RADIANCE per week for classroom program?Three alternate days for Two Year Classroom Program and four days per week for One Year Classroom Programs (12th studying and droppers).
-
Does RADIANCE cover school syllabus also?Yes, at RADIANCE we start each and every topic right from the fundamentals and then after covering the whole syllabus of class XI and/or XII, we gradually proceed for in-depth concept clearance required for great success in school as well as in JEE/ NEET.
-
If a student joins RADIANCE, does he/she need to join additional tuition classes for 11th /12th?"No, not at all because here at RADIANCE, we give integrated training to the student covering the complete spectrum. Even we arrange extra classes for school related difficulties.
-
Is there any extra fee for test series for a student of classroom programme? No, for any student of classroom program there is no extra fee.
-
Why should not one go to Kota /Delhi/ Indore to prepare for JEE?Gone are those days when quality teaching was available only at the selected places. In today's world of globalization, success in any exam is not restricted to some city or region. Moreover, the age at which a student prepares for JEE is the one during which he/she needs motivation and parental care most, because for JEE one must be given an optimum dose of psychological and academic teaching so that he/she do not get distracted or deviated from original motive. Moreover the faculties at RADIANCE are the same who taught at Delhi and Kota. Suppose you went to Kota/Delhi and joined 'so called' good institute for JEE, then usually you are taught by faculties with even half or lesser the experience of faculties at RADIANCE because most of the coaching institutes prefer to employ fresh engineering graduates as their faculty member and they keep faculties shuffling due to which student-teacher co-ordination is practically missing. Even the percentage selections in IITJEE from RADIANCE is comparable and is at par with those of leading coaching institutes at Kota, Delhi or elsewhere.
-
Is there any hostel facility available at RADIANCE.At present RADIANCE does not have its own hostel but it has tied up with good hostels in Jabalpur for boys and girls where students can comfortably reside.
-
What is the mode of instruction in the classroom or can a Hindi medium student take admission in RADIANCE?Yes, he/she can but he/she must be able to understand English well and willing to cope up with it, because the mode of instruction will be English only, although the faculties can use Hindi depending upon the need of the students. The study material will also be available in English only.
-
Is the syllabus for JEE different from that of CBSE/ICSE/MP Board? No, more than 95% of the course is common.
-
Does a student's percentage in class XI or XII exams get affected if he/she prepares for JEE/Med?No, not at all because the syllabus for JEE is the same as that for classes XI and XII. Moreover, at RADIANCE every topic is started right from basics and we believe that if a student has a strong understanding of fundamentals in any particular topic, then he/she will be able to solve any type of problem, no matter whether the problem is subjective/objective, appears in JEE or any board exam.
-
Can an average student be selected ever in JEE/ NEET?Yes. Because JEE is not a tough exam, but it is a bit different type of exam. Consistency, creativity and proper time management is required to crack JEE. The proof is our one of the students Ankit Sharma (AIR-4, IITJEE, 2004), who used to study an average of 4- 5 hours per day!
-
Unless, one joins coaching one will not be able to make it to the IITs. Is it true?"No. Coaching or Complete Training (as we call it) is the BRIDGE between the school studies and the competitive exam preparation. A Good training Institute like RADIANCE provides a bridge by way of good teachers, comprehensive study package, test Series, very good mentoring and above all a system, which will help you, cross the Bridge. In other words we accelerate the process of learning.
-
Whether a student should prefer group study or solo study for JEE ADVANCED/ NEET?Solo study is more productive because preparing for JEE demands concentration and solo study can induce creative thinking in students' mind and once this stage is achieved, JEE becomes a sure success event.
-
Does RADIANCE provides demo (free) classes? No. We at RADIANCE feels that a class X or XI passed student can't judge whether a particular effort of a faculty is necessary and sufficient for JEE (Main and Advance) or not. So have faith in the our system because its proven and already produced miracles from Jabalpur. At some stage you may find few difficulties (as happens with every successful student), don't panic or worry, we will be there to help you out. Keep discussing your difficulties (both academic and non-academic) with us frequently. Instead you can refer YOUTUBE Channels of Radiance Faculties for Demo Lectures.
-
Is one-to-one interaction possible with faculties at RADIANCE?Obviously Yes. Whenever a child works hard for his/her studies at home, his/her mind generates a lot of fundamental questions regarding the topic, they need to be discussed as soon as possible with faculties. Students can call upon the faculty of respective subject for the appointment and clear all of his/her personal difficulties.
-
Which board should I prefer if I want to do well in engineering entrance exams?Performance of a student in JEE or other exams does not depend on the board of schooling, syllabus of all the boards are quite similar and IITs or other institutes never categorizes any student on the basis of board from which he/ she has passed class XII.
-
What is KVPY?Full form of KVPY is Kishore Vaigayanic Protsahan Yojana, it is conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and under this scheme selected students get scholarships as well as various facilities for research, it is one of the most reputed competitive exams. KVPY is 2 tier exams in which successful candidates in written exams are called for interview and medical (only for SCRA).
